Let's Talk About Modesty

                                               May 25th, 2014

Alright everyone, let's talk about modesty. Modesty is unfortunately a lost value in this world. Partly because people don't want to be modest, and partly because people don't how to be modest or why they should be. So let's go over those factors and maybe I can give you a decent explanation.

How to be modest:

The rule for being modest varies. The bible doesn't give us an exact guideline for how to do it. So my rule for modesty is to ask one simple question; Will what I'm wearing cause someone to think innapropriate thoughts about me? Now this is a difficult rule to live by unless you have a guy close at hand to ask. So just think about this; guys are visual. Even the nicest guys struggle with innapropriate thoughts. It's just a natural thing for them. But obviously the more skin you show, the more they think about it. The sexier you act, the more they think about it. So think about that when you go to restock your summer wardrobe and go to pick up a string bikini or a pair of cheek flaunting shorts.

Why you should be modest:

1. Because you should respect yourself. Being modest shows that you have too high of standards to just let anyone see your body. It shows that you aren't easy and you demand more from a man than just sex.

2. It shows that you're different. Guys like different. I wear one peice swimsuits and guys still notice me just fine. In fact they take an interest in me simply because they see that I'm different. If you want a real man's attention, then dress and act modestly because a good man will react to that kind of maturity.

3. It shows that you have respect for men. It's hard for men to think purely. And for the few men out there that want to be good, they don't appreciate the distraction and temptation from girls dressing immodestly. It's not fair to strut all of your stuff and then some when there are so many men that are trying not to think that way. Instead of tempting them with your body, respect them and they'll respect you.

Hopefully someone read this. Whoever reads this, please follow the advice. Modest is hottest. It's cliche but it's still the truth. Modesty doesn't have to be outdated and underrated. It can be a good thing. So embrace your modest side and show the world and men that you respect yourself and that you respect others!
